An intensely ripe, fruity wine, which is already well integrated. The intense dark fruits are supported by some new wood and grainy tannins. This is powerful, and, with its acidity, should age well.

Dark crimson. Very attractively well-melded nose. Fresh start with fully resolved tannins. Just a little harsh on the end. But a seriously alluring nose. GV
Producing typically deep-coloured wines, the excellent value Chateau Poujeaux traces back to the 16th century. Former French President Georges Pompidou was an avid fan of the wines which uses traditional cultivation techniques and aged for 12 months in French barrels.
